The Oppo Find X5 Pro is the company’s latest flagship smartphone, and it’s one of the most impressive devices we’ve seen from Oppo yet. It’s got a gorgeous 6.7-inch AMOLED LPTO display, a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, and up to 12GB of RAM. Plus, it has a 50MPlenses and a 30mp telephoto camera setup with some impressive features, like 4K video recording at 60fps.
But all that power and features comes at a price, and the Oppo Find X5 Pro isn’t cheap. It starts at S$ 1943 for the base model with 256GB of storage.
So, is the Oppo Find X5 Pro worth the hype? We put it to the test to find out.
Design
The Oppo Find X5 Pro is a beautiful phone, and it’s clear that a lot of attention to detail has gone into its design. The 6.7-inch AMOLED display is absolutely stunning, and it makes the phone look and feel premium. The back of the phone features a glass panel with ceramic finish, which looks great. And the metal frame gives it a solid feel in your hand.
There are a few minor complaints we have about the design though. First, the Oppo Find X5 Pro is quite large, so it might not be suitable for people with small hands. Second, the glass back is very prone to fingerprints and smudges, so you’ll need to keep a microfiber cloth handy to keep it looking clean.
The Oppo Find X5 Pro has a premium metal and glass design that feels great in the hand. It’s available in two colors: Ceramic White and Glaze Black. We tested the latter, and it’s a gorgeous color that really stands out.
One thing to note is that the Oppo Find X5 Pro doesn’t have a headphone jack. So, if you’re still holding onto your wired headphones, you’ll need to use a dongle.
Display
The Oppo Find X5 Pro has a massive 6.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 3,216 x 1,440 pixels. It’s one of the best displays we’ve ever seen on a smartphone. Colors are bright and vibrant, viewing angles are great, and it’s plenty sharp.
Performance
The Oppo Find X5 Pro is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and comes with up to 12GB of RAM. It handled everything we threw at it with ease, from basic tasks like browsing the web and checking email to more demanding tasks like gaming and 4K video editing.
The Oppo Find X5 Pro comes with 256GB of storage. It doesn’t have a microSD card slot, so you’ll have to choose wisely when picking your storage capacity.
Camera
The Oppo Find X5 Pro has a triple camera setup that includes a main 50MP wide camera, an ultra-wide 50MP camera, a 13MP telephoto camera, and a 32MP wide front camera. It can shoot 4K video at up to 60fps and can shoot 1080p at 30fps for the front camera.
We were impressed with the Oppo Find X5 Pro’s cameras. The main camera takes great photos in all sorts of lighting conditions, and the ultra-wide camera is really useful for capturing landscapes and tight spaces. The telephoto camera is also a nice addition, and it can take some really detailed photos of close-up objects.
Battery
The Oppo Find X5 Pro has a 5,000mAh battery that lasted us through a full day of use. It supports SuperVOOC fast charging, so you can quickly charge it up if it’s running low on juice. If you’re in a rush, it only takes five minutes to gain a 25% charge. The battery on the Oppo Find X5 Pro is capable of 1,600 full cycle charges, double the 800 cycle lifespan of previous models.
Conclusion
Overall, the Oppo Find X5 Pro is an excellent flagship smartphone. It has a great design, a stunning display, powerful performance, and impressive cameras. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth the hype.
If you’re looking for a powerhouse smartphone that doesn’t sacrifice on features or aesthetics, then the Oppo Find X5 Pro is definitely worth checking out. Thanks for reading!
